Wind down to wind up

As the days progress I have gradually felt myself relaxing from the stresses of 'normal' life. One part of me loves it so much here that I would like to stay, maybe buy a small studio apartment, and another part of me wants to go home because I am bored.

My trouble is that I actually seem to thrive on the cut and thrust of the daily grind and can't wait to board that plane tomorrow.

My only regret about going home is that my family will not be there. George and Dan are taking a last minute break and the children are staying with Dan's family. I think it will be a lot for them to handle and have said the girls can come home anytime that want.

I plan to just hang around the hotel today after taking a gentle strole into town to enquire about a studio I have seen advertised. Oh damn! Here I go again!!

I can imagine being torn between the lovely area you're in now and going home to your family and friends...perhaps, you need both!! Can't you just visit several times a year or wouldn't that be possible?

Please make sure there will be room in your new "studio" for visitors. All of us will want to stay with you, even if it means having to trek out to Switzerland and have a holiday there.

And I'm glad you're coming home. It's been miserable watching the weather charts for your part of the country and not being able to have a laugh when it's covered by rainclouds, while it's sunny where I am.

I know those mixed feelings! But in the end, there's no place like home, is there? Sounds like you've had a wonderful time though.

You'll have your next trip to plan. Switzerland, France and New York sounds great, but the backwoods of Hoodsport might feel like being on the Lewis and Clark expedition. Flagmaker
