Take a look at this, it's a testament to "70 year old girl power "
. The moral of this story has to be - never, never, never underestimate the "swinging sixties" generation. Another story I liked was the one about a little girl who put a message in a bottle. A boy called Richard found it and sent her a postcard to which she never responded. Some years later, while clearing out her loft, she found the postcard and realised that it had been sent by her husband who she had met by chance in a sandwich shop in Beverley, Yorkshire. I think this has to be a case of extreme serendipity!

That lady was amazingly brave! And the postcard tale is unbelievable.
It is an amazing world and we seniors are taking it over. We are definitely a force with which to be reckoned!
She was a true heroine! Just amazing - I love it!!
And how cowardly most people are, aren't we? I notice others piling in once she had them on the run but not before!
Love the postcard story - that's serendipity for sure.
Fantastic story about the message in a bottle.
And saw wonder granny on the telly news - we were cheering her on! And loved the way those thugs fell off their getaway scooter. She deserves a damehood.
Yes don't mess with the swinging sixties brigade!! LOL Hugs ~ Eddie

THANKS FOR THE RETURN VISIT.
I just turned 70 on Feb 4th and I am glad that I have something to look foreword to (just as soon as I get a black purse with a brick in it). kt
Some things are just meant to be, aren't they - as in the case of the postcard!
As for the purse wielding granny - goes to show that one should never underestimate us old gals!
