JUDGEMENT DAY

An evangelical preacher in California predicted that the day of judgement was upon us last May!  Now he says that his calculations were a bit off.  Huh! you don't say! So after a quick re-think he predicts that today is the day the righteous will be taken up into heaven.  Sorry to have to leave you all so soon. My insatiable curiosity has me to wondering who will be going with me.   I have a list of possible "no-shows".  I guess I will soon know if I'm right or not!

This is my Swiss boy. We took him bowling last weekend.  I hope he liked it but to tell you the truth I'm not sure if he did or not.  He went home yesterday.   I thing I might have heard him give a little cheer as he walked into the departure lounge!

The other usual suspects accompanied us.

My friend sent me this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXV-yaFmQNk&feature=player_embedded . Isn't it cute?

Interesting how very young children are familiar with iPads and computers and gadgets. I hope they get a chance to read an old fashioned book one day though.

Funny how some people think they have an absolute hotline to God over everyone else.
I am sure He isn't going to tell anyone when Jesus will come again!

I'm sure Swiss boy will have absorbed some benefit from your lovely hospitality and if he didn't....... then he needed a slap around the lugholes!

Oh, poor guy! It is so hard to be shy in the first place, but to be so in a foreign country must be hell. Forgive me, that's possibly in bad taste considering the other part of your post!

Anyway, I didn't notice anyone going missing on the 21st, did you?

So. Has the preacher given up predicting now, or do we have a new date to look forward to?

Nothing like a book is there TB. I've read a few good books lately and have just started One Day. I'm not sure if I'll get into it or not yet. A few of the people on my oveland trip from London to New York read it and raved about it, so maybe I'll perserve.

Apart from a quick text to say he had arrived home safely I haven't heard from him. So I think that it's probably a safe guess to assume that he hated every minute and I can't say I blame him!

I wasn't entirely sure whether he was shy or simply plain bored Jay.
